Boarding House

For a probinsyana like me who doesn't have a real home to stay here in Metro Manila as I work to earn some little money, searching for a convenient and affordable place to stay is a necessary thing to do.

In Makati, a unit is very expensive that I can afford only the following:

Boarding house
A house you can call home. Or second to home. Or not even close to home. Just a place where one can sleep.

Bedspace
Renting a single "bed space" in a boarding house. You pay for lodging only, exclusive of "board" or food. I really can't understand that part. Anyway, you share the room with many beds with other bedspacers.

Room for rent
Sometimes also in a boarding house, at other times separate from the main house. You pay for the whole room. More expensive than bedspace, but gives more privacy and peace of mind. Sometimes, there is a common kitchen, common living room, common something else to be shared by the other boarders, tenants, etc. At times, there is a private bathroom for each room rented.

Roommate
A person you share the room with, be it a room for bedspacers or a room for exclusive rent.

Also, the person I had to wait when I locked myself out of our room carrying my bathroom supplies, my watch, which I had mistaken as my keys, and my cellphone, which I had used to spend my time away taking pictures of the corners, things and unsightly "sceneries" in our kitchen.
