A bit blue

A bit blue

But no, I'm not blue. Just a little stressed. I want some quietness in my mind right now.
But no, I'm not blue. I'm not sad or lonely. My life is not in chaos. It's just my mind.
Hope abounds.

A Prelude to the Vietnam Trip

Just a practice shot using my new camera (yey!), which I do not know how to fully operate yet, but which I will be using for my Vietnam trip. Yebah!

That's the Sun Wireless Broadband USB, sometimes reliable, sometimes unreliable.

So what now? I'm here at the airport, blabbing by myself, and creating a new blog devoted entirely for my Vietnam trip.

A Matter of Perspective

July 26, 2008: Driving along SCTEX
Snapshots along the way

Blurred
Blurred

Droplets of rain, from a heavy pouring rain.

Green field by the road, fresh, full of life.

Life from afar, out of focus, out of clear reach.

What do you see? It is a matter of perspective.

The droplets of rain from a heavy downpour obscuring the view?

The blurred view and sight from going too fast?

Or the freshness of the field despite the distractions?

Enjoy life, even with glitches. :)

Dark Clouds
A Matter of Perspective
Dark clouds. Heavy downpour.

Raindrops on the windshield, as if tears distorting the view.

Lighter clouds in a distance. Hope.

Move on, chase the light, dare to go the distance.

Split in Half
A Matter of Perspective
A beautiful sight, good infrastructure project, shortening travel time between Manila and Subic, improving our lives,

or

a project splitting the mountains (or hills?) along the way, running into ricefields, changing the ecological balance of the area?

One Evening in Chowking

On July 2, I met Bebang, Ed and Donald. I had to pay Bebang for the gas expenses during my birthday, where I used her card. Also, I had to bring her the pair of shoes she forgot in Zambales.

We met at McDonald's in Ayala Avenue. We ate in Chowking in Dela Rosa. Worth the walk since our meals were free! Thanks to the tie-up promotion of BPI credit cards and Chowking (Beef Chao Fan, Sweet and Sour Pork, or Spare Ribs for BPI card purchase worth P1000, Halo-halo for a minimum of P500 worth of purchase).

We had all of those meals, plus another halo-halo and dumplings and siomai. Salamat Bebang, BPI, Chowking at ang butal sa pambayad sa gas na hindi mo kinuha. :)

One Evening Along J.P. Rizal

On June 27, going home in a jeep passing through J.P. Rizal in Makati, I was stuck in traffic. To rescue myself from boredom and the pollution, I took snapshots of what I’ve seen (all with my not very reliable, but still working, Motorola W510).

The jeep turned left to VilleƱa Street, where I live, but decided to walk all the way from JP to my place. It was less stressful that way.

One Evening in Glorietta

On June 30, 2008, after I ate alone in Tokyo-Tokyo, as I waited in a long line for a taxi to go home, getting bored without a thing to do, I took snapshots of some things around me...

…while eavesdropping to the conversation of two foreigners and their wives (the talkative one was that man in the last photo, albeit blurred).

By the way, it’s nice to know that they love Manila, more especially because of the people’s smile and big heart. Keep on smiling! :)

One Evening in Tokyo-Tokyo

... I ate alone.

I wasn’t able to finish my second cup of rice…

… which I tried to eat without using the spoon and fork.

I tried to contemplate about life…

… as I tried to finish my regular glass of red iced tea.

Still, I wasn’t able to contemplate about life or finish my drink. Nevertheless, I enjoyed Tokyo-Tokyo’s beef misuno. Yum. :)
